On December 21, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury conducted new invitation rounds within the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) Program. In this particular round, Sudbury assessed 42 candidates, with 38 falling under the Conventional Stream, one under the Limited Stream, and three through the Francophone Stream.

In the previous year, Sudbury extended invitations to a total of 154 applicants. Since the program's initiation, the city has endorsed approximately 670 individuals through the RNIP. As of now, the city has evaluated 587 candidates in the year 2023.
