9,475 (37.5%) international students who received study permits in February 2022 were from India. China was the second largest source country with 3,150 (12.5%) study permits. Japan came in third with 995 (3.9%) study permits. These ten countries topped the list of study permits issued in February:

As for Turkey, in February it ranks 18th among the countries of origin of students. 205 foreign students from Turkey have been issued study permits. In total, Canada has approved 520 (0.8%) study permit applications from Turkish students in 2022. In February, Canada approved applications for 25,235 international students. In total, IRCC published 63,740 studies.
