PR Acceptance through Family Sponsorship
In February 2022, a total of 8,010 immigrants were admitted through Family Sponsorship by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Out of these, 5,920 were sponsored spouses, 1,670 were sponsored parents and grandparents, 385 were sponsored children, and 40 were other relatives. In terms of specific countries, Canada approved 30 applications for sponsored spouses from Turkey, as well as less than 5 applications for parents and grandparents and children sponsorship from Turkish citizens. Overall, IRCC approved a total of 30 family sponsorship applications from Turkey in February 2022. Throughout the year 2022, Canada approved a total of 15,075 family sponsorship applications.
