On December 12, 2023, the British Columbia government conducted new invitation draws as part of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP), extending invitations to eligible candidates in crucial sectors such as healthcare, childcare, construction, and other priority occupations. In the general draw, 73 candidates were invited, with a minimum score ranging from 95 to 116 points. For the childcare-targeted draw focusing on early childhood educators (NOC 42202), BC issued 61 Invitations to Apply (ITAs).
In the Healthcare-targeted draw, British Columbia invited 27 candidates with a score of 60 points. Additionally, 27 candidates working in the construction sector received invitations. Furthermore, up to five invitations were issued for other priority occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104). In total, British Columbia issued a maximum of 197 ITAs in this draw. In the current year, the province has already extended invitations to 9,920 candidates.
